The horizon in Southeast Mesa has changed, no longer can you step outside to quiet your mind while watching the sun rise-up over the mountains making shadows dance across desert spaces; the sand floor is trapped beneath concrete and tar, creating unbearable summer nights, too hot to breathe. Block walls now block our view in every direction and there is more people than there is room for them.
Our leaders sold more than just our space, they stole the childhood from an entire generation of kids. Trading scraped knees, dirt berms and cool desert nights for a pair of goofy goggles, endless screentime, and a virtual world known for the harm it causes. We’ve known how bad it would get and we did nothing, we know its only going to get worse and still we do nothing. Be it lack of confidence, know-how, or financial backing we sit ideally by and watch our spaces shrink and safety vanish.
With the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children estimating that 1 in 7 missing children are likely victims of s*x trafficking and Arizona alone typically has between 500 and 1,400 active missing child cases open at any given time, those odds are far too high for me… add that the NCMEC Cyber Crimes Division gets more than one million reports of enticing per year, The Spot gives our youth a safe space they’ll actually want to go.

The Spot, acts as a bridge between generations, a safety net for working parents and a central hub for lifelong learners and sports lovers of any age. As such, we promise to put people over profits and restore some of what was taken from our community.

The plan is to host a new giveaway every month once this (hopefully) picks up traction, with the prizes increasing in value. There are a few ways to earn entries into the giveaway. Earn a free entry just by subscribing to our blog and sharing our initiative. When you purchase any product or service you’ll automatically be entered into our giveaway plus get a bonus entry for every $20 spent. Finally, you can purchase entry packs starting at just $5 dollars [all proceeds go directly toward funding The Spot].
Once the giveaway closes a winner will be drawn at random and notified privately, after 72 hours we will announce the winner on our site.
